Yosemite and Death Valley

Some pictures I never got round to uploading from this 2016 trip. I particularly loved Yosemite, and meeting a family of deer right outside our cabin (no photos of them, I’m afraid!)

On the journey from Yosemite to Palm Springs we drove through Death Valley (yes, it was very hot. And beautiful, with rocks the colour of pastel candy). We stopped for lunch at a saloon-style bar/restaurant with surprisinly good veggie burgers.

We then headed on and stayed overnight in a small town called Lone Pine, where lots of western films were made. It’s basically one street with a few motels and an overpriced pizza joint, though the Museum of Western Film History looked interesting for those who have a little more time.

One day I’ll post about Palm Springs, in between more up-to-date Portugal content!
