Cova do vapor

Yesterday was a national holiday in Portugal (the recently reinstated Corpus Christi). My friend and I decided to take advantage of the sunny weather and take a trip to Cova do Vapor on the other side of the river. It’s not the easiest place to get to from Lisbon to without a car, but it involves a pretty ferry journey and an interesting walk. There’s a good little restaurant on the beach with chairs on the sand. There’s also a giant silo nearby which looms menacingly over parts of the town, but luckily doesn’t really affect the beach! It was a nice change to go somewhere so peaceful yet still near to the city.
