The Lake District

Just before leaving the UK, I had a day trip to the Lake District with my family for my brother’s birthday. I hadn’t been since I was a kid, and had always wanted to go back.

We stopped at The Dalesman cafe on the way, which was lovely. Loads of vintage decor and kitsch trinkets, plus a traditional sweet shop at the front.

We then went for lunch at The Drunken Duck at Barngates, followed by a walk. It was a beautiful day for it. We then went for dinner at Fellini’s in Ambleside.

I’m behind on blogging as I don’t yet have WiFi in my new flat. Lisbon updates hopefully coming soon! In the meantime here are some pictures from the gorgeous Lake District…
